Shoe and Boot making Workshops

We regularly teach shoe and boot making from our workshop in Maroochydore.

3 day intensive shoemaking course 

$675 maximum 6 people (includes materials)

Choosing from 3 basic shoe designs we will take you through the steps of pattern making, cutting leather, decorating using various dying and pyrography techniques, lining, sewing, lasting, soling and finishing.

5 day intensive boot making course 

$975 per person maximum 5 people (includes materials)

In this workshop you will make a pair of oxford boots. We’ll take you through the process of choosing lasts, basic design, pattern making, cutting, skiving, decorating leather, sewing, making components and insoles, lasting, soling and finishing. We’ll use natural leathers so you can explore different leather decorating techniques. Suitable for people with some sewing experience and an interest in learning pattern making and footwear construction.
