Inspired (like many of our designs) by the shoes in fairy tale books, we have tried to make them as much like fairy shoes or elven shoes as possible. Having said that, many of our customers wear them with “every day” clothes and they look amazing.
How often can you wear them?
Being very flat soled and softly lined makes them a great pair of shoes to wear all day. Open at the laces and the front of the foot, they are great to wear midseason or as a summer boot.
How do you care for your booties?
In order to care for these hand dyed natural leather shoes, it’s best not to store them in direct sunlight. Sunlight will darken natural leather. They will change and slowly going browner over time anyway, but this can be avoided by taking care to store them in a dark place. If you are wearing the heels or soles out, take them to a shoe repairer for re-heeling or resoling. Bring them to us if you are nearby but any shoe repairer can prolong the life of your booties.
Options for customising or personalising your booties:
This original shoe design can also be made in other colour combinations upon request.
Each pair of these handmade shoes are individually created and made to order. If you have any requests for narrow or wide fittings, please include it in the order notes.
Other names for them are Elven wedding shoes, Lord of the Rings shoes, pixie shoes and fairy wedding shoes.
