As part of the signature Pendragon leaf style, they are the descended from the original Prince of Autumn Leaves shoes made in 1994 as part of our metamorphosis exhibition. They were acquired by the Powerhouse museum for its shoe collection in Sydney.

This was when we started working with natural leather and dyes. Many of our  bespoke boot designs and costume shoes that we make to order feature the leafy style . For example the high leaf boots, the tree spirit boots, Elvish leaf booties, and even our Elvish leaf belts and handmade leather leaf guitar straps.

How do you care for your boots? In order to care for these hand dyed natural leather shoes, it’s best not to store them in direct sunlight. Sunlight will darken natural leather. They will change and slowly going browner over time anyway, but this can be avoided by taking care to store them in a dark place.  If you are wearing the heels or soles out, take them to a shoe repairer for re-heeling or resoling. Bring them to us if you are nearby but any shoe repairer can prolong the life of your boots.
